ABOUT DR EPPEL
Dr Eppel completed his specialisation in urology at Wits. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, University of Edinburgh. He pursued additional training in the United States, becoming certified by the American Board of Urology, and completed a fellowship in Neuro-Urology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr Eppel's academic journey included serving as an Assistant Professor of Urology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis before transitioning to private practice in Memphis, Tennessee.
Returning to South Africa in 2006, Dr Eppel established himself in private practice at the Chris Barnard Memorial Hospital in Cape Town. In partnership with Dr Shaun Smit, he focuses on managing a wide spectrum of urological conditions, aligning with his special interests in neuro-urology, pelvic organ dysfunction and pain, and sexual dysfunction.
