Bio

Dr Jean-Marc Bohbot (MD, PhD) is an infectious disease physician specialised in urogenital
infections, and Head of the Sexually Transmitted Infections department at the Alfred Institut
Fournier (former WHO Collaborating Centre for STDs) since 1975, he is currently the Medical
Director of this institute where he also provides andrology consultations.

For more than fifteen years, Dr Bohbot has been passionate about the genitourinary microbiota and has collaborated on several clinical studies on vaginal infection in gynaecology, some of which have been the subject of referenced publications. He is also the author of two books for the public: one on sexually transmitted infections, the other on the vaginal microbiota.
